The objective of this section is to witness your confession of faith, and to establish that your faith is based firmly on the apostles teaching (doctrine) on the Kingdom of God and the Name of Jesus Christ.
There is a vast difference between 'head' knowlege and 'heart' knowlege. Jesus said that life eternal is bound up in 'knowing' God and Himself John 17:4. Knowing God and Jesus is a combination of the 'head' and the 'heart'. Jesus said that the first great commandment of all time was that, "You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.' Matt 22:37
A true confession therefore is based on the 'heart' the 'soul' and the 'mind'.
How do we know what life we are living?
After the people had listened to the Apostle Peter on the day of Pentecost
36 "Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly that God has made this Jesus, whom you crucified, both Lord and Christ."
37 Now when they heard this, they were cut to the heart, and said to Peter and the rest of the apostles, "Men and brethren, what shall we do?"
38 Then Peter said to them, "Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.
39 For the promise is to you and to your children, and to all who are afar off, as many as the Lord our God will call."
Acts 2:36-39 , we are told that 'those who gladly received his word were baptized; and that day about three thousand souls were added to them. 42 And they continued steadfastly in the apostles' doctrine and fellowship, in the breaking of bread, and in prayers". Acts 2:41-42.
In this section we are going to follow the same process. After the people had listened to the Apostle Peter
01 Why would you want to be baptised?
02 What would baptism into Jesus Christ do for you?
03 How has Jesus changed your life?
